About The Role
NORD is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Graphic Designer to join its Marketing and Communications team. Reporting to the Senior Project and Creative Design Manager, this role will help develop and execute visual content that supports campaigns, events, publications, and digital platforms. The ideal candidate is creative, collaborative, and experienced in managing multiple design projects across both print and digital media.
This is a primarily remote, full-time position, with occasional in-person meetings at the Danbury, CT office.
Responsibilities
- Design engaging print and digital materials including flyers, social media content, infographics, event branding, presentations, and web assets
- Translate complex data and messaging into visually compelling and brand-consistent graphics
- Apply visual storytelling and layout best practices across platforms
- Collaborate with internal teams and provide creative input throughout the project lifecycle
- Ensure consistent use of NORD’s brand identity across all visual communications
- Develop design templates and style guides for internal and external partners
- Manage timelines, deliverables, and vendor relationships for assigned projects
- Support the maintenance of a centralized asset library and production logs
- Assist with administrative tasks such as expense reports, invoices, and SOP documentation
- Participate in cross-functional planning and campaign execution
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in graphic design, visual communication, or a related field
- Minimum of 5 years of professional graphic design experience
- Experience working in nonprofit, healthcare, or agency settings is preferred
- 3–5 years of project management experience including budgeting and scheduling
- Strong foundation in branding, typography, layout, and color theory
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop, Acrobat)
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
- Experience designing for web, social media, and email campaigns
- Strong organizational, communication, and multitasking skills
- Experience with motion graphics or video editing is a plus
- Comfortable preparing files for production and managing vendor communications
