About the Role:

Unacademy is seeking an experienced and driven Category Head to lead and scale one of our key business categories. This role requires a leader with deep expertise in category management, P&L ownership, growth strategy, and cross-functional collaboration.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Category Strategy: Develop and execute strategic plans to drive growth and success within the assigned category.
  • PnL Ownership: Take full responsibility for category revenue, margins, and overall profitability.
  • GTM Planning: Design and execute Go-To-Market strategies for new product launches and campaigns.
  • Revenue & Growth Management: Implement strategies to boost top-line revenue, reduce churn, and drive user acquisition.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with Product, Marketing, Sales, Content, and Operations teams to deliver value.
  • Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and scale a high-performing team aligned with category goals.
  • Market Intelligence: Analyze market trends, competitor movements, and user behavior to inform decision-making.
  • Data-Driven Decisions: Use data analytics and performance metrics to identify improvement areas and new opportunities.

Requirements:

  • 6–10 years of experience in category management, product-led growth, or business leadership roles.
  • Proven track record in owning P&L, GTM strategy, and driving revenue growth.
  • Strong leadership, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Experience in managing cross-functional teams and working in a fast-paced environment.
  • Prior experience in EdTech/SaaS/startups preferred.
