We are seeking an experienced Mortgage Processor to join our team and help ensure smooth and timely loan closings.Position Overview:
We are looking for a detail-oriented and highly organized Mortgage Processor with a minimum of 5 years of experience in the mortgage industry, preferably with a broker or Independent Mortgage Bank. The ideal candidate will be well-versed in processing conventional and government loans, managing multiple files efficiently, and ensuring compliance with all underwriting and regulatory guidelines.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process and review loan applications for accuracy and completeness
- Verify borrower information, including income, credit, and assets
- Coordinate with loan officers, underwriters, and third-party vendors to facilitate timely closings
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and investor guidelines
- Communicate with borrowers regarding documentation requirements and loan status
- Maintain proficiency in loan origination systems (LOS) and automated underwriting systems (AUS)
Qualifications:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in the mortgage industry, preferably at a broker or Independent Mortgage Bank
- Strong knowledge of Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, FHA, and VA loan guidelines
- Experience working with multiple lenders and loan programs
- Exceptional attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
