Role Summary:
McDonald’s has set an ambition to become a Global Indirect Sourcing and Procurement leader. To make this happen, we are standing up a new Global Indirect Sourcing and Procurement Organization (IS&P). This organization will help McDonald’s to better leverage our scale and unlock sustainable value for our company and communities. We are transforming our Indirect Sourcing and Procurement capabilities, processes, solutions, and ways of working to create One McDonald’s Way of buying Indirect goods and services responsibly.
This role presents an exceptional career opportunity to be a part of this journey as the Procurement Compliance Lead. Reporting to the Sr. Director of Procurement Operations, this role will be responsible for ensuring that all procurement activities adhere to internal policies, industry regulations, and legal requirements. This includes developing, implementing, and monitoring procurement compliance programs to minimize risk and ensure ethical sourcing practices. It is expected the role supports in training procurement teams on compliance standards, ensuring that all stakeholders are well-versed in the legal and regulatory landscape affecting procurement activities.
Key responsibilities will include collaborating with internal teams such as legal, finance, and audit departments to address compliance-related issues, and reports on the status of compliance initiatives to senior leadership. By ensuring robust compliance frameworks and practices, the Compliance Lead helps mitigate risks, protect the organization’s reputation, and promote transparency and ethical procurement practices across the supply chain.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee compliance activities across spend, contract, supply, budget, and process areas – data collection, governance effectiveness, evaluation of non-performance, implementing corrective plans, define compliance programs, and reporting on adherence
- Establish and implement a comprehensive compliance framework for procurement including monitoring, detection, and controls as needed
- Responsible for the creation, testing, and implementation of standardized reporting processes and analytical tools (i.e., scorecards)
- Oversees the adherence to contracts, procurement guidelines, and applicable laws, including anti-corruption, environmental, and labor regulations
- Define compliance performance action plans and implement with necessary processes, stakeholders, and/or suppliers as needed
- Train procurement teams on compliance standards, ensuring that all stakeholders are well-versed in the legal and regulatory landscape affecting procurement activities
Knowledge and Skill Requirements:
- Minimum 4-year degree
- 3-4+ years of relevant experience with Sourcing & Procurement, Compliance.
- 1+ year of exp in Ariba OR Coupa OR E-Procurement etc.
- Proven ability to drive process standardization initiatives, including management, maintenance, and documentation of global processes.

- Skills: Data Analysis, Data Visualization & Reporting, Attention to Detail, Project Management, Technical Aptitude.
- Exp in Audit is good to have.
