Key Responsibilities Supplier Sourcing & Relationship Management:
- Identify, evaluate, and establish relationships with reliable suppliers and
vendors.
- Negotiate contracts, pricing, terms, and conditions to optimize cost-efficiency.
- Conduct regular supplier performance assessments and address any quality or
delivery issues.
Procurement Planning
- Collaborate with Marketing, PMG, PTDC (Design) teams to forecast material
requirements.
- Develop and execute procurement strategies to ensure a continuous supply of
components and materials.
- Maintain an optimal inventory level by overseeing stock control and
replenishment systems.
Cost Management & Budgeting
- Implement cost-saving initiatives through strategic sourcing and vendor
negotiations.
- Monitor market trends and pricing fluctuations of electronic components.
- Prepare and manage procurement budgets, ensuring alignment with company
financial goals.
Compliance & Risk Management
- Ensure purchased components meet required specifications and industry
standards.
- Manage risk related to supply chain disruptions by developing contingency
plans.
- Ensure adherence to company policies, industry regulations, and
environmental standards in the procurement process.
Vendor Development & Collaboration
- Work closely with vendors to improve product quality and delivery efficiency.
- Facilitate product development with suppliers in line with new product
launches and innovations.
- Foster strong working relationships with key suppliers to support long-term
partnerships.
Logistics Coordination
- Collaborate with logistics teams to ensure timely delivery of goods.
- Oversee the import/export process when dealing with international suppliers.
- Manage freight, transportation, and warehousing requirements for the
electronics supply chain.
Reporting & Analytics
- Maintain accurate records of all procurement transactions, contracts, and
supplier information.
- Generate procurement reports and analyze data to make informed purchasing
decisions.
- Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) related to
procurement efficiency, cost savings, and supplier performance.
