Scope Of Work* Primary

  • Define the Project Plan and regularly update it with the support of the Project Control Manager
  • Ensure deliverables are met within planned timelines and cost to meet the overall project profitability
  • Ensure adherence to L&T corporate guidelines in the project
  • Identify the resources (people, material, tools and equipment) needed for the execution of the project
  • Define the Project Organogram & communicate roles & responsibilities to the entire team
  • Organize internal kick-off meeting to brief project team regarding project scope & deliverables
  • Review and finalize the Execution Philosophy based on results of Site Survey
  • Manage and organise the resources (people, material, tools and equipment) needed for the execution of the project
  • Risk Assessment on a monthly basis, identifying & implementing mitigation mechanisms.
  • Regularly monitor and communicate to the SBU Head the performance (costs, revenues, payments, cash flows, KPIs, etc.) & status of the project
  • Manage the project changes (evaluating their feasibility, identifying the technical solution to implement and identifying the required resources) including the ones that can require a change order (to be discussed with the Client)
  • Regularly monitor the adherence to the contractual clauses
  • Ensure that safety regulations, quality standards and relative procedures and practices are met
  • Support the Sales in the proposal development and in negotiating change order with the Client
  • Verify and approve the purchase of materials and services used during the project within his/her limits of authorisation
  • Review and approve the monthly Activity Schedules (as prepared by the Project Control Manager)
  • Communicate/ discuss the updated resource requirement plan with the relevant resource departments on a periodic basis
  • Provide clarifications to management on instances of budgetary non-compliance
  • Identify reason for quantity variance, discuss the reason with the concerned department and forward the information as part of the monthly MIS
  • Obtain Project Completion Certificate from Client after submitting documents to support project completion as per Contract

Shared Across Functionally

  • Manage the relationship with all the parties involved in the project: external – Client, subcontractors, local authorities, institutions, etc. and internal – HSE&QM, Asset Management, Supply Chain, etc.
  • Participate in client coordination and review meetings
  • Review Weekly Project Progress Report along with the Project Control Manager, and provide feedback to respective personnel/partners
  • Present Monthly Project Report to the SBU Head
  • Raise invoice as per agreed schedule with the client
  • Decide on extent of claims to be raised with the Client in consultation with the SBU Head
  • Prepare the Project Closeout Report & present to the SBU & OD Head
