About the Role – As a Cabin Engineer in base maintenance at Emirates Engineering, you will be responsible for carrying out routine maintenance tasks and defect rectification of aircraft in accordance with company and regulatory procedures.
Responsibilities –
- Perform inspection, maintenance, and repair of aircraft cabin components, including seats, panels, galleys, lavatories, lighting systems, carpets, sidewalls, and IFE systems.
- Ensure all cabin-related defects are rectified in accordance with manufacturer and company procedures.
- Provide engineering support for cabin configuration changes, refurbishment projects, and retrofit programs.
- Collaborate with Planning, Engineering, and Logistics teams to ensure availability of parts and materials.
- Document all work carried out accurately in accordance with regulatory requirements and company procedures.
- Participate in cabin health checks and turnaround inspections to ensure cleanliness, functionality, and compliance.
- Support the evaluation and testing of new cabin components and materials.
- Ensure adherence to safety, airworthiness, and quality standards at all times.
- Provide on-site technical support during AOG (Aircraft on Ground) situations or critical operational disruptions.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives for cabin maintenance processes and procedures.
Qualifications –
- Diploma or degree in Aeronautical, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering or related field.
- Aircraft Maintenance Engineering License with type rating endorsed for B777 / A380 and or A350, particularly with B1/B2 and cabin experience.
- Minimum of 3–5 years’ experience in aircraft cabin maintenance, preferably on wide-body aircraft.
- Familiarity with cabin modification and repair standards (e.g., Airbus SBs, Boeing SRMs).
- Experience with IFE systems such as Panasonic, Thales, or equivalent is a plus.
- Strong understanding of regulatory requirements (e.g., EASA, GCAA, FAA).
- Ability to interpret technical drawings, wiring diagrams, and maintenance manuals.
