As the Manager of Emerging Programs, your responsibilities will include:

Program Development & Management

  • Oversee and manage multiple new and growing programs, ensuring they meet quality and sustainability benchmarks
  • Guide program teams through development phases, supporting their transition to independent management
  • Develop plan to hand off programs to upcoming manager; provide analysis and training to ensure readiness and stability
  • Ensure compliance with regional center guidelines, funding requirements, and best practices in service delivery
  • Develop and implement strategic plans to scale programs effectively
  • Facilitate process for creating, reviewing, and revising Individualized Service Plans (ISPs) using a person-driven approach

Stakeholder Engagement & Relationship Building

  • Establish and maintain relationships with program participants and key stakeholders, including regional centers, funders, families, and community partners
  • Represent BuildAbility in meetings with regional center representatives, external agencies, and advocacy groups
  • Collaborate with internal teams to promote program visibility and community engagement

Operations & Compliance

  • Work with supervisors to manage daily administrative tasks and on-the-ground operations
  • Ensure all documentation, billing, and reporting requirements are completed accurately and on time
  • Oversee program compliance with regulatory requirements, safety protocols, and organizational policies
  • Implement quality assurance strategy through assessment/evaluation of outcomes and participantsatisfaction, and follow through with improvement measures

Financial & Budgetary Oversight

  • Develop and manage program budgets, ensuring financial viability and alignment with organizational goals
  • Monitor revenue, expenses, and billing processes to ensure accuracy and efficiency
  • Process payroll internally and oversee regional center billing

Collaboration & Problem-Solving

  • Work closely with leadership to address challenges and optimize program outcomes
  • Identify and implement solutions to operational and programmatic issues
  • Support the organization’s strategic initiatives related to service expansion
  • Mentor and support program supervisors in effective leadership and administrative management

Schedule:

  • Full-time
  • 5 days, 40 hour/week

Work Location:

  • Sylmar, CA and Variable

Compensation:

  • Starting at $68,640 – $78,000/annually(dependent upon prior experience and qualifications)

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 3 years of experience managing programs in the IDD field
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred; high school diploma required
  • Experience working with adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities required; experience with children is a plus
  • Strong knowledge of regional center processes and funding structures
  • Excellent financial management and budgetary oversight abilities
  • Ability to establish and maintain relationships with external stakeholders
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Suite and ability to learn EVV (Electronic visit Verification) systems
  • Experience with payroll processing and billing through the regional center portal
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
  • Authorized to work in the United States
  • Clear Criminal Background Check
  • Proof of COVID-19 Vaccination with a two-dose minimum
