Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and refine manufacturing processes for propellant production.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement, cost reduction, and efficiency enhancement.
- Troubleshoot and resolve process issues, providing solutions for increased production reliability and quality.
- Collaborate with the Quality Assurance team to ensure adherence to safety, environmental, and regulatory standards.
- Conduct regular inspections, audits, and evaluations to maintain quality control throughout the manufacturing process.
- Implement corrective and preventive actions to address any deviations from quality standards.
- Work with product development teams to design and scale up new propellant products and processes.
- Participate in the design and layout of manufacturing systems, equipment, and tools to improve production capabilities.
- Manage the introduction of new production lines, machinery, and process improvements, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget.
- Collaborate with maintenance teams to ensure minimal downtime of production equipment.
- Analyze production data to identify trends and forecast potential equipment needs or improvements.
- Prepare technical documentation, including process flows, work instructions, and operational procedures.
- Create and maintain reports on production performance, quality metrics, and project progress.
- Assist in the preparation of regulatory filings and certifications as required.
Qualifications
Educational Qualification
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.
Experiences
- Minimum of 8 – 10 years of experience in manufacturing engineering, preferably in the defence, aerospace, or chemical industries.
- Proficiency in CAD software, process simulation, and manufacturing technologies.
- Strong understanding of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Knowledge of safety protocols and regulatory requirements, particularly related to hazardous materials and propellant production.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work under pressure.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
